Mark Pinnock is a Research Engineer at InstaDeep since December 2023. Prior to this role, Mark was a Clinical Research Fellow at UCL from September 2018 to December 2023, focusing on translational research in collaboration with UCLH and Microsoft Research Cambridge, particularly in detecting misplaced nasogastric tubes using deep learning models. Mark's academic background includes a PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from UCL, where the thesis centered on super-resolution and contrast enhancement in interventional computed tomography. Additional education includes a Master's degree in Medical Imaging and dual undergraduate degrees in Medicine and Microbiology from the University of Leeds. Mark's extensive clinical experience includes various roles within the NHS, primarily in intensive care and anaesthetics.
