Théomé Borck

Théomé Borck has a strong background in machine learning and AI research. Currently, they are working as an ML Research Engineer at InstaDeep Ltd, specifically within the BioAI team. In this role, they contribute to the joint AI Innovation Lab with BioNTech, focusing on the development of next-generation vaccines and biopharmaceuticals for cancer treatment and infectious diseases. Théomé designs, implements, and deploys state-of-the-art AI techniques to model biological processes and generate insights from immunologic data.

Prior to joining InstaDeep Ltd, Théomé worked as a Research Engineer - MSc Thesis Intern at InstaDeep Ltd. Théomé also gained experience as an ML Engineer - Working Student at Parkdepot, where they applied machine learning techniques to their projects.

Théomé's experience also includes working at Helmholtz Zentrum München (ICB) as a part of the TUM Data Innovation Lab team. Here, they built a deep learning model to predict disease risk from DNA data, utilizing variational auto-encoders and libraries such as scikit-allel and Plink.

Before that, Théomé worked at HelloFresh as an OpsTech Developer, where they designed and implemented web applications to streamline processes in various teams, such as Logistics, Customer Care, QA, and Finance.

In 2018, Théomé served as a Web Software Developer at Theodo, gaining experience in web development.

Théomé Borck has a diverse education history. From 2019 to 2021, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mathematics in Data Science at the Technical University of Munich. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2020, they completed a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree at CentraleSupélec, where they studied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering & Physics, as well as Entrepreneurship, Economy, and Finance. Before their master's studies, from 2014 to 2016, Théomé attended Lycée Pierre Corneille, Rouen, where they obtained a CPGE degree in MPSI/MP* with a focus on Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science. In 2014, they completed their Baccalauréat S degree in Mathematics and Physics at Lycée Raymond Queneau, 76.

In terms of additional certifications, Théomé obtained a French Baccalaureate Certificate from the Cabinet du Ministre de l'Éducation nationale et de la Jeunesse in July 2014. Théomé also acquired a Data Scientist Professional Certificate from DataCamp in October 2021. Moreover, Théomé holds TOEFL scores, with a result of 102/120 for the TOEFL IBT and a score of 627/677 for the TOEFL IPT.
