Anand Mehta

Anand Mehta, D. Phil, is the SmartState Endowed Chair of Proteomic Biomarkers and Professor, Department of Cell and Molecular Pharmacology, Medical University of South Carolina. He specializes in biomarker discovery and biochemistry. Specializing in liver disease, Dr. Mehta’s research is focused on the reduction of HCC related mortality via the development of new HBV therapeutics and the discovery of new biomarkers for liver cancer and cirrhosis, most notably gp73.
