Rene Berger has a long and varied work experience. Rene began their career in 1997 as a Project Manager for Europaforum Wien. In 1999, they became a Partner and Investment Manager for March.fifteen, Austria's first and one of Europe's most successful early stage venture capital groups for internet and new media. In 2003, they joined Austria Technologie und Systemtechnik AG as Director of Investor Relations, Communication, where they were responsible for Investor Relations, Public Relations and corporate communication for AT&S Worldwide. In 2007, they became Managing Partner of nextmarch and Member of the Supervisory Board of fatfoogoo, which was sold to Digital River Inc. in 2010. In 2012, they became Co-Founder and Shareholder of Up to Eleven Digital Solutions GmbH. In 2014, they became Co-Founder and Member of the Supervisory Board of Nuki Home Solutions GmbH, as well as Strategic Advisor for Inspiring Sport Capital, a specific investment fund looking for sports related investment opportunities. Finally, in 2013, they became a Member of the Board of Directors for MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team.

Rene Berger completed a Program on Negotiation and Leadership at Harvard Law School in 2018 and a Negotiation Master Class in 2019. In 2006, they earned an Experts Certificate in Change Management as Leadership Task from DEAK. From 1996 to 1999, they attended the University of Vienna, earning a Mag (approval) and Dr. iur. (PhD) in Law. From 1990 to 1995, they attended the University of Strasbourg, earning a Maitrise, D.E.A. in Droit Européen, Sciences Politiques (Université Robert Schuman). Finally, they attended Lycee Francais de Vienne from 1977 to 1990, earning a Baccalauréat and Matura.
