INSTAND is an interdisciplinary, non-profit, scientific-medical professional association designated by the German Medical Association as a reference institution for medical laboratories' quality control. INSTAND is based in Germany and has more than 300 members worldwide. INSTAND is a member of many national and international professional societies and standardization committees at DIN, CEN, and ISO. INSTAND's excellent global scientific network is a valuable tool to draw upon for research projects for quality assurance.
