Adam Stepinski has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. Adam worked at Instawork as the Director of Engineering, overseeing the platform's vision of creating economic opportunities for local businesses and professionals. Prior to this, they served as an Engineering Manager at Instawork.
Before joining Instawork, Adam was the Director of Engineering at Edmodo, where they managed the iOS and Android mobile teams. Adam played a key role in the development of the "Edmodo for Parents" app, collaborating with product, design, and backend teams.
Adam also worked as a System Architect at Edmodo, leading a team in the re-writing of the backend using Ruby and Go. During this time, they focused on security, testability, and scalability, adopting an API-first approach to backend development.
As a co-founder of Root-1, Adam developed OpenMinds, a Python and MongoDB-based system based on academic research on spaced repetition. Adam also led the ideation, design, user testing, and implementation of 10 games built on top of OpenMinds.
Adam began their career at Google as a Software Engineer in the Search Features team. Adam played a significant role in the development and maintenance of the Google homepage and search results, including the creation of Wonder Wheel, Google's first use of Flash and Ajax in search results.
Adam Stepinski completed their undergraduate education at Rice University from 2004 to 2008. Adam earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics.
