John Alarcon's work experience includes a variety of roles at different companies. JL "John" served as the VP of Finance and Strategic Partnerships at Instem, where they were responsible for US finance and Instem group strategic partnerships. Prior to joining Instem, they worked as a consultant for the company and led the buy-side due diligence, financial modeling, and integration efforts for the acquisition of d-Wise Technologies, as well as supported two other acquisitions and served as interim controller for the Clinical Trial Acceleration (CTA) business unit. Before Instem, John founded and served as the Principal of BEARN, a corporate finance and risk advisory firm where they advised clients in enterprise financial management matters. JL "John" also served as the CFO of LoanLogics, Inc., a provider of cloud-based mortgage finance analytics software and services, and the VP of Finance at ISGN, a mortgage technology and business process outsourcing company. John has also worked at SunGard / XRT, Enterprise Financial Consulting, and META Group in various roles. JL "John" started their career in various positions in 1985.

JL "John" Alarcon has a strong education background in business administration. JL "John" received a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from Temple University from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, they attended Columbia Business School in 2000 for the Columbia Senior Executive Program (CSEP). JL "John" also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of South Florida, which they obtained from 1993 to 1995.

In terms of undergraduate education, Alarcon earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration from Université d'Orléans, where they studied from 1982 to 1986. Before that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Strategy, Planning & Control from Université Paris Dauphine - PSL between 1989 and 1990.

In addition to their formal education, Alarcon has obtained several certifications. JL "John" is a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania and Virginia. JL "John" also holds certifications such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) from the Association for Financial Professionals and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) from AICPA.
