Daniel Marques

Daniel Marques is the Executive Director and Head of Algo & Messaging Platform Development at Instinet Incorporated, a position held since 2022. They previously served as Executive Director in both Multi-Asset Development and New Core Development at the same company from 2018 to 2020. With a robust background in technology leadership, Daniel was the Chief Technology Officer at Victor Technologies, LLC from 2011 to 2014 and the CTO at Ballista Securities, LLC from 2007 to 2011, where they developed an equity options ATS from the ground up. Daniel also held positions as a Research Associate at the Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences at the University of Texas, Austin, and as a Post Doctoral Associate at Cornell University, where they earned their PhD in Computer Science. They obtained a BA in Computer Science from New York University.
