Alexandre Alanio

Alexandre Alanio is a microbiologist and mycologist with extensive experience in mycology and parasitology. Since November 2009, Alexandre has served as the leader of the Translational Mycology group at Institut Pasteur and has upheld the position of Medical Doctor and PhD student at Université Paris Cité since September 2021, where Alexandre also holds the title of Professor of Medicine in Mycology-Parasitology at Hôpital Saint-Louis, GH Nord, AP-HP. Additionally, since December 2013, Alexandre has been responsible for culture-based and molecular mycology at Saint Louis Hospital, focusing on research areas such as cryptococcosis and fungal flora. Starting as an interne at Assistance Publique Hôpitaux de Paris from November 2005 to October 2009, Alexandre completed a specialized degree in biology with a concentration in parasitology and mycology at Université Paris Descartes between 1999 and 2009.
