Astrid Nilsson

PhD student in AI and neuroscience

Astrid Nilsson is a PhD student specializing in artificial intelligence and neuroscience at Institut Pasteur, focusing on the biological and computational aspects of neuromodulation. Previously, Astrid completed a research internship at Owkin, developing federated algorithms for hierarchical clustering in cancer research, and an internship at the Decision and Bayesian computation laboratory, where Astrid created a self-supervised learning model for fetal brain MRI segmentation. Astrid also contributed to a project at Ubisoft on caustics rendering for video games, conducted bioinformatics analysis at BforCure to enhance diagnostic solutions, and gained military experience with Gendarmerie Nationale as an officer candidate. Astrid holds an engineer's degree in Computer Science from École Polytechnique and a double degree from Kungliga Tekniska högskolan (KTH).
