Johan Cornil

Johan Cornil is a Senior Research Engineer at Institut Pasteur since December 2020, with a focus on the synthesis of mannose derivatives and innovative methods in carbohydrate research. Previous experience includes roles as a Chef de Projet in synthesis chemistry at CortecNet and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Institut Pasteur, where Johan contributed to the development of a vaccine for shigellosis. Prior postdoctoral roles at OXELTIS involved drug discovery in nucleoside chemistry, complemented by a PhD focused on metallo-catalyzed reactions at ESPCI. Johan's early experience encompasses internships in organic synthesis at GlaxoSmithKline and sanofi-aventis, as well as a technician role at L'Oréal.
