Philippe Pérot is an expert research engineer specializing in clinical metagenomics and pathogen discovery at Institut Pasteur since April 2014. Notably, Philippe led the development of an NGS-based HPV molecular screening test and successfully detected Umbre virus in two patients with hypogammaglobulinemia. Prior experience includes roles as a research associate at bioMerieux, where Philippe developed a hybridization model for profiling human endogenous retrovirus transcripts, and as a postdoctoral researcher focusing on NGS-based methods.
