Rayan Chikhi is currently a researcher and group leader in the Sequence Bioinformatics group at Institut Pasteur and has been a researcher at CNRS since 2014. With a focus on computer science applied to bioinformatics, Rayan analyzes genomes, develops methods for sequencing data analysis, and has contributed to significant projects such as the assembly of the giraffe genome and the gorilla Y-chromosome. Rayan's academic journey includes pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science at École normale supérieure de Rennes. Prior to these roles, Rayan completed a postdoctoral research position at Penn State University from 2012 to 2014.
