We use high-performance computing on supercomputers and parallel clusters to tackle complex physics problems that cannot be addressed analytically. Our research centers on soft-matter physics, with a strong focus on charged systems such as polyelectrolytes, colloids, ferrofluids, and ionic liquids, as well as selected biophysical questions. We run large-scale simulations with the ESPResSo package and develop machine-learning methods to enhance and accelerate these simulations.
