Luis Ávila is a political organizer, community advocate, and writer who currently serves as founder of Instituto (since 2019) and as President of Iconico (since 2017). They previously held leadership roles with Stand for Children as Arizona Organizing Director and Interim Executive Director. From 2013 to 2019 they were Senior Vice President at 270 Strategies, where they focused on strategy, organization building, digital campaigns, and data analytics, and in 2020 they served as State Lead for Organizing Together 2020. They are pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, with majors in Mass Communications and Spanish, at Arizona State University.
