Gary Mote has a diverse work experience spanning from 1993 to the current year. Gary started their career at Motorola, where they worked as an X-Ray Technician and later as a QA Auditor/Inspector. In 1999, they joined TexLink Communications as a Senior Central Office Technician, supervising construction and maintenance activities of data centers. From 2007 to 2013, they were the Owner/Operator of PlanB Services, providing contract technician services and managing a multi-site vending operation. Mote then worked at DataBank, Ltd. from 2013 to 2020, first as a NOC Technician and later as a Datacenter Manager. Gary continued in the data center industry, joining National Technologies (NTI) in 2020 as a Project Manager, overseeing low voltage installations for mission-critical facilities. Currently, Mote is employed as a Project Manager/Independent Contractor at Instor Solutions, Inc., where they serve as a Subject Matter Expert for data center projects and manages all aspects of low voltage installations. Overall, Mote's work experience is highly focused on data centers, project management, and technical expertise.

Gary Mote's education history begins in 1986 when they attended Phoenix Institute of Technology and obtained an Associate's degree in Electronics Technology in 1988. Gary then went on to study at Utah Valley University from 2007 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Science. In 2017, Gary Mote attended Collin College and received a Certificate in Business Management in 2018.

In addition to their formal education, Gary Mote has obtained various certifications. Gary became a Certified Lighter Than Air Pilot - Airship through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in May 2014. In October 2013, they obtained the Data Center Certified Associate certification from Energy University by Schneider Electric. In May 2013, they received their Private Instrument Pilot - SEL, Private Pilot - SEL, and Commercial Instrument Pilot - Rotorcraft certifications from the FAA. In September 2009, they became a Commercial Pilot - Rotorcraft, and in May 2011, they earned their Flight Instructor Instrument - Rotorcraft certification from the FAA.
