Alison Irvine

Alison Irvine, PhD, has extensive experience in the fields of research and product analytics, currently serving as the Director of Advance Research and Director of Product Analytics at Instructure since March 2014. In these roles, Alison leads a team focused on data-driven decisions in research and development, producing insights through qualitative and quantitative methods while supporting the product team's data needs through software initiatives. Previous positions at Instructure include Senior Learning Researcher and Learning Research Analyst, where Alison emphasized user advocacy and collaboration in designing and executing primary research. Prior experience includes serving as Adjunct Faculty at Kilian Community College and as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of South Dakota. Alison holds a PhD in Human Factors Psychology from the University of South Dakota, where Alison also earned a Master's and Bachelor's degree in related fields.
