Gilbert Ong

Gilbert Ong is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in plant engineering and manufacturing management. Currently serving as the Director of Plant Engineering at Insulet Corporation since February 2023, Gilbert previously held significant roles at Alcon, where responsibilities included leading the Manufacturing, Science, and Technology Division, overseeing production and continuous improvement efforts. Gilbert has a proven track record in implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies, with prior positions at CIBA Vision, Hewlett-Packard, and Seagate Technology, where leadership spanned various operational and engineering functions. Gilbert's early career includes a role as a Maintenance Engineer at Maxtor Peripheral and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Wichita State University, obtained in 1991.
