Michael Waas

Michael Waas is an experienced sustainability leader currently serving as the Sustainability Program Manager at Insulet Corporation since May 2023. Previously, as the VP of North America at TIPA® Compostable Packaging from April 2021 to December 2022, Michael successfully led a US-based team, developed and implemented a Go-To-Market Strategy, and established key commercial relationships with various stakeholders. Prior to TIPA, Michael held significant roles at TerraCycle for over thirteen years, including Global Vice President of Brand Partnerships, where a global platform of circular economy partnerships with major clients was developed, and Global Vice President of Client Services and Programs, responsible for expanding brand-funded recycling programs across multiple international markets. Michael's early career included a role as a Graduate Assistant at the CMU Volunteer Center, contributing to community service initiatives. Michael holds an M.A. in International Relations and a B.S. in Political Science, Music, and History, both from Central Michigan University.
