Vilim Simcic has extensive experience in research and development within the medical devices and imaging sectors. Currently serving as Group Vice President of R&D at Insulet Corporation since February 2021, Simcic has previously held senior leadership roles including SVP of Research and Development at ZAP Surgical Systems, Inc., and VP of R&D at Siemens Healthcare. Additional experience encompasses positions such as Sr. VP of R&D at Accuray, Inc., VP and GM at Hologic | R2, and CTO at R2 Technology, among others. Simcic holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, complemented by a Bachelor of Science from the University of Zagreb and earlier studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
