Zakia W. possesses extensive experience in pharmacy and healthcare education, currently serving as Chair and Co-Chair of the Mentorship Committee for the Virginia Society of Health-System Pharmacists since June 2023, and holding concurrent positions as Residency Program Coordinator and Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacist at Riverside Health System. Zakia also contributes as Adjunct Faculty for the VCU School of Pharmacy and engages as a Certified Pump Trainer-Level III for Insulet Corporation, providing nationwide training on OmniPod pumps. As a Professional Speaker for Dexcom, Zakia educates healthcare providers on the benefits of Continuous Glucose Monitoring Systems.
