Blane Grann

Blane Grann is a data scientist at Intact since September 2022, with an extensive background in scientific research and analytics. Prior to this role, Blane worked at FPInnovations for a decade, progressing from an internship to Senior Scientist, focusing on business analytics and sustainability. Previous experience includes roles as a part-time research assistant at SINTEF Energy Research and a summer research intern, where energy models were developed to analyze the impacts of refrigeration technology. Additionally, Blane contributed to climate change mitigation studies while assisting a lead author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and conducted life cycle impact assessments at Xynteo AS. Academically, Blane holds a Master of Science in Industrial Ecology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Economics, and Physics from Dalhousie University, and a Bachelor of Human Kinetics in Exercise Science from The University of British Columbia.
