Brian Lock Son is a third-year student at the University of Waterloo, pursuing a Math (Honours) degree with a major in Actuarial Science. They have developed a strong interest in the actuarial and finance fields and have gained valuable experience as a co-op student in the P&C and Life Insurance industry. With successful completion of Exams P, FM, MFE, and C, Brian continues to be determined in their quest to become an actuary. Previously, they held multiple roles as an Actuarial Analyst and Team Lead Data Science at Intact, while also working with other firms such as iA Financial Group and RSA.
