Maria Bianchi has extensive experience in claims management and healthcare, particularly in the field of athletic therapy and claims adjustment. Currently serving as Unit Claims Manager in Investigative Services at Intact (since May 2017), Maria has progressed from Accident Benefit Adjuster Level 1 to Level 3, overseeing investigations into claims related to Accident Benefits. Prior roles include Athletic Therapist at Mount Sinai Hospital and several positions in athletic training, including Head Student Athletic Trainer for Vaughn Azzuri's soccer team. Maria also worked as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor for the City of Toronto and held various athletic therapy roles while completing a Kinesiology & Health Science degree at York University, where both an Honours BA and a specialization in Athletic Training were obtained.
