Miti Modi

Miti Modi is a seasoned data science professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various industries. Currently serving as the Director of Data Science (Pricing Fundamentals) at Intact since May 2020, Miti manages four cross-functional teams to enhance pricing strategies for insurance lines. Previous roles at Intact included managing teams in telematics and insurance pricing, where Miti developed innovative programs and streamlined data processes. Miti has also held significant positions at Loblaw Companies Limited, where the first in-house machine learning system for demand forecasting was developed, and at The Home Depot Canada, focusing on inventory improvements. Miti's early career involved research analytics at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and contributions to multiple academic projects. Academically, Miti holds a Master of Engineering from the University of Toronto and advanced training in data science and deep learning from prestigious institutions.
