Ian Kanski

Ian Kanski has over 12 years of professional experience in the fields of technology, agriculture, and sustainability. In 2020, they began their current role as Executive Director at the Center for Advanced Agriculture and Sustainability at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. Prior to this, they were a Member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Board, and Advisory Board Member at FarmTech Society from 2018-2020. From 2016-2018, they were Co-Founder and President of INTAG Systems, a company that uses microbial life and beneficial organisms to produce higher performing organic fertilizers from recycled nutrients. From 2013-2014, they were Co-Founder and Principal at B Theory Inc., a consultancy that uses experiential learning models to bring students and technical experts together around applied research and real-world entrepreneurship. Ian was also Chief Product Officer at Zoetic Global from 2014-2016, a company that specializes in developing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) in renewable energy. From 2012-2013, they were a Business Process Consulting at IMR Digital (now Keymark Inc.), where they served clients in State and Local Government, Manufacturing, Engineering and Information Technology sectors with solutions architecture, process re-engineering and Enterprise Content Management solutions. Additionally, they were a Founding Member and Studio Artist at Harrisburg Makespace from 2012-2013, an open space for the community that cultivated an environment where good ideas thrive. From 2011-2012, they were a Contract Consultant for WorkXpress PaaS, where they were responsible for qualifying and negotiating tailored licensing agreements with Value Added Resellers (VARs), Independent Sales Vendors (ISVs) and White Label / Private Label partners. From 2010-2011, they were a Contract Consultant for Healthcare and Enterprise Software, and from 2008-2010 they were a Development Manager for Enterprise Solutions and Services at Arcus.

Ian Kanski graduated from Houghton University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Visual Arts and Sociology.
