Paul Hess

Paul Hess is currently the Director of Maritime Systems at McCormick Stevenson Corporation and serves as an Adjunct Professor and Senior Advisor in Naval Engineering at the Virginia Tech National Security Institute. With a Ph.D. in Reliability Engineering from the University of Maryland and extensive experience working with the U.S. Navy, Paul has developed advanced methodologies for naval surface ship structures and led significant programs focused on naval operations in polar regions. Previously, Paul held positions at the Office of Naval Research, where they managed teams in the development of innovative naval technologies. They are also recognized as an expert in ship structures and have been involved in international science and technology collaboration programs.
