Ning Shao

Principal Solutions Engineer at Integral Analytics

Ning Shao has a diverse work experience spanning over twenty years. They started their career as a Reporter at China Daily in 1994 before becoming a System Administrator at CERN in 1998. In 2004, they joined Cinergy as a Sr. Analyst at Global Risk Management, where they developed Value at Risk models for energy trading and provided solutions for credit risk evaluation.

In 2006, Ning Shao joined Duke Energy as a Sr. Analytic Researcher, leading projects in spatial load forecasting and marketing analytics. They also developed advanced spatial models and software for location-based load-growth evaluation. From 2010 to 2015, they held the role of Sr. Quantitative Researcher at Duke Energy, where they developed and supported the company's Commercial Business Model and provided pricing, structuring, and portfolio management for Duke Energy Retail.

From 2015 to 2018, Ning Shao worked at Dynegy as a Pricing Specialist in the Risk Management Group. They designed, implemented, and maintained pricing processes for Dynegy Retail, significantly increasing team productivity. They also conducted research to identify key drivers in the retail energy business.

Currently, Ning Shao is working as a Principal Solutions Engineer at Integral Analytics, a position they have held since 2018.

Ning Shao completed a Master's degree in Quantitative Analysis (MSQA) from the University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business, studying from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, from 1989 to 1994, Ning Shao attended the University of Science and Technology of China, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree (BS) in Science & English.
