2.	BIM permite compartir la información relativa a un edificio a lo largo de todo su ciclo de vida.
3.	BIM facilita la interoperabilidad y la colaboración entre los distintos agentes que participan en las distintas fases de un proyecto de edificación, así, cada uno de los agentes puede añadir, eliminar, actualizar o modificar la información contenida en un proyecto BIM.
