IEG applies innovative research and approaches to specific challenges in ecosystem assessment, repair, and land-use management. We specialize in practical applications of ecological and cultural research, and many of our projects require that we work across different technical disciplines to achieve client objectives. We are a team of highly educated and experienced professionals practicing in ecology, ethnoecology, soil science, mine reclamation, monitoring and sampling design, land-use planning, cumulative-effects research, and cultural research.

We have consciously assembled a small company of highly-qualified and talented professionals with concentrated expertise, which allows us to be agile in responding to our clients’ needs and objectives. We are not trying to be all things to all clients – rather, we are trying to be very good at what we do in a tightly focused practice. Because we are a small specialist company, we can allow our commitment to delivery of the highest-quality work be the primary driver of our efforts.
