James Donald is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in software and hardware development, particularly in control systems and automation. As the Founder and President of Integrated Knowledge Systems since 1998, James has focused on creating innovative technologies for autonomous mobile robots, specifically developing sensor and processing boards. Prior to this, James dedicated over two decades to ASM, starting as an Engineer II and progressing to Staff Software Engineer, where James contributed to the design and implementation of factory automation software and control systems. James's expertise encompasses nonlinear control, system integration, and distributed communication systems, underscored by strong technical leadership in managing engineering teams. James holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University, specializing in VLSI circuits and circuits, respectively.
