Vanessa Marcel

Vanessa Marcel has been working in the biotechnology and development field since 2018. Vanessa began their career as Laboratory Manager at Integrated Pharma Services. In 2018, they also began working at Integrated MicroSciences (IMS), a biotechnology and development company located in Frederick, MD, as Laboratory Manager. At IMS, they are focused on developing novel therapeutics for hard-to-treat and multi-drug resistant infectious agents. Her experience in preclinical and clinical research for development and advancement of biomedical products spans over 40 years.

Vanessa Marcel obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore between 1998 and 2002. Vanessa then went on to get their Master's degree in Biodefense from George Mason University between 2005 and 2007. Finally, they completed their DrPH in Public Health (Epidemiology) from Capella University between 2013 and 2018.
