Akhil Kumar has a diverse background in engineering and research with experience in both academic and industry settings. As a Graduate Research Student at Texas A&M University from December 2013 to August 2016, Akhil focused on the design and fabrication of a MEMS Optical Pressure Sensor under the supervision of Dr. Jun Zou. Prior to this, an internship at KPIT involved designing a multipurpose device for data acquisition and transmission. Additionally, a research assistant role at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 2014 included the development of a testing setup for extracting BSIM3 models for transistors under Dr. Angel Abusleme's guidance. In early 2021, Akhil served as a Yield Engineer at Intel Corporation, where responsibilities entailed failure analysis and advancements in package board assembly and SMT process development. Akhil holds a degree from Texas A&M University, graduating with a GPA of 3.70 out of 4.00.
