Alex Birman is an experienced technology leader with a focus on software engineering and foundational IP enablement. Currently serving as the Director of Foundational IP Enablement and Support at Intel Corporation since April 2024, Alex is responsible for bootstrapping Intel's Foundry Foundational IP. Prior to this role, Alex was the Engineering/Project Lead at Galois, Inc., where leadership was provided in the R&D of trustworthy software and hardware systems. Alex's extensive tenure at Intel Corporation includes roles such as Sr Staff Software Engineering Manager and Sr Staff Engineering Manager, showcasing a strong background in system software, design automation, and memory compiler development. Earlier professional experience includes contributing as a Design Engineer at Motorola Semiconductor, along with significant academic credentials including a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tel Aviv University and two Master's Degrees in Computer Science from Oregon Health & Science University.
