Andrew Teren is a Staff Process Engineer at Intel, where they develop and characterize oxide thin films for silicon photonic technology. Previously, Teren served as a Process Development Engineer at Ostendo Technologies, focusing on GaAs/GaN microLEDs, and as a Development Engineer at ams OSRAM, optimizing processes for epiwafers. Teren also held a postdoctoral researcher position at Forschungszentrum Jülich, where they developed CVD-ALD processes for dielectric thin films. They earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science from The Johns Hopkins University.
