David Mui

CPU Design Engineering Manager

David Mui is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in microprocessor design and technical management. Currently serving as a CPU Design Engineering Manager at Intel Corporation since June 2014, David oversees E-Core (Atom) RTL fixed and floating point cluster teams. Prior to this role, David held various positions at IBM from 2001 to June 2014, including Microprocessor Design Manager, where management of over 20 design teams focused on LSU, FXU, and PC for next-generation microprocessors was a key responsibility. David also contributed as a Microprocessor Design Engineer on the Power microprocessor, specializing in instruction fetch unit branch prediction, and played a leading role in post-silicon bring-up of the Power7 and Power7+ processors. David's foundational engineering expertise includes work as a Logic Design Engineer at the STI Design Center, contributing to the development of the Cell processor and PPC core. David holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
