Gary L. Patton

Gary L. Patton is the corporate vice president, general manager, and design enablement and components research at Intel. Gary has over three decades of experience in the semiconductor industry. Prior to joining Intel, they were the chief technology officer and senior vice president of worldwide R&D and design enablement at GLOBALFOUNDRIES from July 2015 to December 2019. In this role, they were responsible for developing GLOBALFOUNDRIES' differentiated process and packaging technologies and design enablement, building a world-class R&D team and culture, driving key customer engagements and promoting GLOBALFOUNDRIES in external industry forums through invited keynote and panel talks. Gary also served as a founding partner at DL & BJ Properties, LLC. From April 2005 to June 2015, they were the VP, semiconductor research & development center & IEEE fellow at IBM Microelectronics. From February 2002 to April 2005, they were the VP & GM, head & media business unit; GM, San Jose site at IBM / Hitachi GST.

Gary L. Patton completed their undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, where they earned a B.S. in electrical engineering. Gary then went on to Stanford University to complete their graduate studies, earning an M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering.
