Gus Espinosa

Intel Fellow, Chief Technologist in Dependable Computing

Gus Espinosa is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in engineering and architecture. Notably, Gus served as a Senior Principal Engineer and Senior Director of Soft IP Enabling at Intel Corporation, where responsibility included enhancing the Foundry's process technology platform and leading successful IA processor IP enablement for Spreadtrum Communications, Inc. His work on pioneering low-power techniques contributed to major processors like Coppermine and Westmere. As Vice President of Dependable Computing at Data General, Gus designed critical subsystems for high-availability systems. Currently, Gus is an Intel Fellow and Chief Technologist in Dependable Computing, leveraging a strong educational background with a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Boston University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.
