Ian Kuon

Ian Kuon is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in software development and engineering management in the field of FPGA technology. Since joining Intel Corporation in December 2015 as Director of Software Engineering, Ian has led teams in developing software solutions for modeling performance and functionality of Intel's FPGAs, overseeing significant product innovations including hardware/software co-design and architectural evaluations. Prior to Intel, Ian held various positions at Altera where responsibilities included managing timing modeling projects and developing high-performance delay annotation software. Educational credentials include a PhD and MASc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto, along with a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta.
