James A. Johnson

Senior Vice President — General Manager, Client Computing Group at Intel

James (Jim) A. Johnson is senior vice president and general manager of the Client Computing Group (CCG). He is responsible for all aspects of Intel’s client business, including profit and loss, client roadmap, and client positioning across engineering, customers and product marketing.

Johnson previously led the Client business segment, overseeing product and segment organization to help better meet customer needs, drive efficiencies and streamline decision-making. He was also general manager of Client platform and engineering segment, which creates leadership designs to ensure Intel’s customers deliver high-impact products that make the most of Intel innovations.

Throughout his tenure at Intel, Johnson has held a wide range of engineering and management leadership positions in client computing, technology and manufacturing, and networking and communications.

Johnson joined Intel after receiving his bachelor’s degree with honors in industrial engineering from Oregon State University.
