John Powell

John Powell is an experienced engineer and manager with a diverse background in power and performance engineering, industrial engineering, and winemaking. At Intel Corp. since May 1997, John has held roles such as Power and Performance Engineer & Team Manager, focusing on CPU and memory design to enhance server platform efficiency and creating power and performance designs for small form factor devices and PCs. Additionally, John has conducted architecture performance analysis for graphics in competitive markets. Prior to Intel, John worked as the Industrial Engineering Team Manager at Contrail Vintners from 2002 to 2018, where wine production and sales were key responsibilities, with John’s winemaking endeavor beginning in 2002. Educational qualifications include a BS in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from Tennessee Technological University, a BA in History from Rollins College, and a certificate from Stanford University in the Alliance for Innovative Manufacturing.
