Karnan Shanmugam

Karnan Shanmugam has extensive experience in software engineering and development, with a significant tenure at Intel Corporation since April 2002, advancing from Software Project Lead to Director of Engineering for Embedded Software and IP. Responsibilities include overseeing Embedded Software and IP for Intel FPGA and Root Of Trust for Xeon platform firmware, as well as leading system software planning and execution across various operating systems. Previous roles at Intel involved managing software development teams, re-architecting software for modular scalability, and driving firmware and driver delivery for multiple silicon projects. Prior to Intel, Karnan held positions at Accord Software and Ergo Electronics, focusing on driver development and DSP algorithm design. Karnan holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications from the University of Madras.
