Rene Rugango

Rene Rugango, Ph. D., possesses a robust background in physical chemistry and engineering, with significant experience in both academic and industrial settings. At the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2016, Rene served as a Graduate Research Assistant, achieving notable advancements in laser cooling of molecular ions and mentoring students. Additional responsibilities included managing laboratory safety and delivering educational lectures as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Prior experience as a Research Intern at the University of Georgia involved the use of computational methods for studying molecular properties. From 2017 to 2023, Rene expanded expertise as a Process Engineer and later Engineering Manager at Intel Corporation, focusing on team recruitment and resolution of complex engineering challenges. Rene earned a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, summa cum laude, from Harding University.
