SVP, Chair of Intel China at Intel

Dr. Rui Wang is senior vice president and chair of Intel China, responsible for leading all Intel China businesses and teams at Intel Corporation.

Rui joined Intel in 1994 and has rich experience filling leadership roles steering tech innovation and industry collaboration – from hardware, software, EDA and design solutions to sales and marketing. Prior to her current role, Rui was corporate vice president and PRC country manager in the Sales and Marketing Group. She previously served as director of the Huawei Global Account, with overall responsibility for growing and deepening Intel’s relationship with Huawei while maximizing revenue, design wins and tangible results across all Intel business units.

Previously at Intel, Rui was general manager of Intel’s Technical Enabling Group, where she was responsible for accelerating customer adoption of the company’s silicon roadmap and services, covering all products and customers, and setting and tracking design wins. She also served as vice president in the Platform Engineering Group and general manager of the Mixed-Signal IP Solutions Group, with overall responsibility for developing mixed-signal analog IPs for most Intel product families.

Before joining Intel, Rui worked at Cadence Design Systems and Advanced Micro Devices.

Wang earned her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from South China University of Technology. She also holds a master’s degree in engineering, a master’s degree in philosophy and a doctorate in electrical engineering from Columbia University.

In 2019, Rui was listed on Forbes China’s Women in Science and Technology and was awarded “Intelligent China” Leader of the Year by Business Times magazine. In 2020, Rui was named among the “Top 30 of China’s AI Business Leaders 2020” by QbitAI. In 2021, Rui was awarded 36Kr’s “Hard Core Person of the Year 2021” and was listed among Fortune's “China’s Most Influential Women in Business 2021." In 2022, Rui was named one of "China’s Top 100 Businesswomen" by Forbes.
