Usman Ahmed

Usman Ahmed is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on IP solutions and calibration firmware for external memory interfaces. Since July 2018, Usman has served as a Director at Intel Corporation, specializing in MIPI D-PHY IP and related technologies. Prior roles at Intel include Senior Manager and SoC Design Engineer, where Usman contributed to architecture research for next-generation FPGAs and managed design efforts for external memory interfaces. Usman's earlier experience at Altera Corporation involved technical leadership in design and verification, performance analysis, and recruitment. Usman also worked as a Senior Design Engineer at CARE and as a Design Engineer at Avaz Networks, developing algorithms for industrial applications and VoIP technologies, respectively. Usman holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of British Columbia, an MASC in Computer Engineering from Ryerson University, and a B.Eng. in Computer Systems Engineering from NUST.
