Vassilis Nikolopoulos

Vassilis Nikolopoulos has a long and varied work experience. Vassilis began their career in 2004 as a Researcher at KDD (PhD) in Innovation and Energy ICT/Services at NTUA, where they were certified as a Compuware Process Consultant, IT Governance Certified Process Consultant, and Business Process Modeling and ITIL, CoBIT mapping. Vassilis also held three patents in EIS and IT, and founded Intelen R&D Group. In 2005, they became an IT Consultant Engineer and R&D Manager at European Dynamics, taking part in the project management of two big IT EU projects. In 2006, they were Services Manager (ITG, ITSM, R&D) at Intellisolutions SA, responsible for conception, development, and management of new ICT services and products. In 2011, they Co-founded Intelen, Inc, where they applied Behavioral Science, AI, Analytics, SEM, Algos, Game mechs, and Social Science. Vassilis raised more than $6M in seed, angel, and VC funding, and grew the company from 3 to 40 people. Vassilis also designed, built, and marketed four B2B main Energy ICT products for the utilities sector. In 2013, they became a Mentor at Startupbootcamp HighTechXL, and in 2014, a Global 100 Mentor at The Founder Institute. In 2018, they became an Advisor at ZoidCoin Network and an EC/H2020 Research Scientific Expert/Evaluator/Reviewer at the European Commission. Vassilis currently works as Head of Applied R&D | DeepTech Innovation | Technology | New Ventures at MYTILINEOS S.A. and as a Review Editor (Editorial Board) in Blockchain Technologies at Frontiers.

Vassilis Nikolopoulos has an extensive education history. Vassilis attended Lycee Leonin Franco-Hellenique, Athenes N.Smyrni from 1981 to 1993, where they obtained a high school diploma in Science. From 1996 to 2000, they attended the University of Dundee and obtained a Scottish 4year Honours in Engineering in Electrical Engineering. Vassilis then attended Imperial College London from 2000 to 2001, where they obtained an MSc and Diploma in Control Systems. From 2001 to 2002, they attended \u00c9cole Polytechnique and obtained a Classe Prepas - Majeures Ingenieur (X99) in Informatics & Applied Maths. Vassilis then attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2001 and obtained Certificates in Management & Marketing. From 2004 to 2011, they attended the National Technical University of Athens and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Computer Engineering. More recently, they have been attending HarvardX since 2020 and has obtained LBTechX1, ENGSCI137x, CS50AI, and PH125.8x in Technology Entrepreneurship: Lab-To-Market, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Energy, Climate, respectively. Additionally, they have obtained a Digital Transformation Certificate from OTE Group of Companies (HTO) (OTE Academy) in 2020 and an IT Governance Process Consultant from Compuware in 2008.
