Long Tran

Senior Embedded, AI Software Developer at Intelex Vision

Long Tran has a strong background in software development and engineering. Long started their career in 2013 with an internship in the Product Engineering Department at Schneider Electric. After that, they worked as a Product Engineer at Schneider Electric in 2015. In the same year, they also started working as a Sessional Instructor at RMIT University, where they were involved in control laboratory design, real-time engineering lab deployment, and digital system prototype verification until 2019.

In 2019, Tran joined eTech Consulting Technology Innovators as a Software Firmware Engineer for a brief period. Following that, they joined IntelexVision as a Software Engineer in 2019, and then progressed to become an Embedded AI Software Developer, where they currently hold the position of Senior Embedded AI Software Developer since May 2022.

Long Tran began their education in 2006 at HCMC University of Technology and Education, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology in 2010. Following this, they attended RMIT University in 2011 and completed a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration. In the same year, they also pursued a Master's degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering, which they completed in 2013. Long Tran then went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from RMIT University, completing this degree in 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Long Tran has acquired several certifications. In September 2020, they obtained basic proficiency certifications in Problem Solving and Python from HackerRank. In October 2017, Long Tran completed the inaugural RMIT Redback Innovation Challenge. Furthermore, in March 2017, they earned a certification in "DAT210x: Programming with Python for Data Science" from Microsoft.
