Dr. Jim Brailean is the co-founder and managing partner of Karmel Capital, a private equity firm dedicated to high-growth enterprise software investments. They also co-founded PacketVideo Corporation, serving as CEO where they launched the first commercial end-to-end wireless mobile media delivery platform. With extensive experience on several public and private boards, Dr. Brailean has contributed to various firms and initiatives in technology and innovation, currently advising multiple startups through BFT Equity Partners and Pelagos Ventures. Dr. Brailean holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University and has received numerous accolades, including Distinguished Alumni Awards from both the University of Michigan and Northwestern University.
