Bob Blasdel

Bob Blasdel serves as the Deputy Chief Scientific Officer at Inteliphage since December 2021, where efforts focus on innovative phage-based therapies to combat antimicrobial resistance. Previously, Bob held the position of Research Director at Vesale Pharma from September 2018 to November 2021 and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Doctoral Student at KU Leuven, with research centered on the interactions between bacteriophages and bacteria. Earlier experience includes roles as a Graduate Teaching Associate at The Ohio State University, where responsibilities encompassed microbiology teaching, and as a Research Associate at T4 Phage Laboratory, studying bacteriophage physiology. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Bioscience Engineering from KU Leuven, a Master’s in Microbiology from The Ohio State University, and a Bachelor’s in Microbiology from The Evergreen State College.
