Sarah Vreugde serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Vésale Bioscience since May 2023, contributing to the development of personalized phage therapy clinical strategies. In addition, Sarah holds a professorship at The University of Adelaide, focusing on chronic rhinosinusitis, wound healing, and head and neck cancer research to improve patient therapies. Previous roles include Associate Professor and Examiner at the European Patent Office, and Medical Doctor in Otolaryngology at Dibit, San Raffaele Institute, overseeing research activities and clinics. Sarah completed a PhD in human molecular genetics at Tel Aviv University, specializing in genotype-phenotype correlations of non-syndromic hearing loss. Sarah's medical training in Otolaryngology was conducted at the Academic Hospital of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Sarah earned an MD in Medicine from Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
